In 2017, the Health Promotion Organization (HPO) was established by University of Rwanda graduates, driven by a shared commitment to enhance community health. Originating as an autonomous entity, HPO addresses the redirection of skilled individuals from fields such as Environmental Health Sciences, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, and Public Health. The organization aims to retain seasoned professionals in these crucial domains, preventing setbacks to community health development. Beyond its university roots, HPO focuses on generating innovative concepts for community health and collaborates closely with student associations in related disciplines. Through strategic partnerships and a commitment to continuous learning, HPO aspires to foster a future where the community thrives with sustainable health impacts, fueled by the dedication of its members.
